Twenty-nine years of adventures! That's how long Paul and I have been married, but our travel adventures started long before that. In 1977, we slept on the sidewalk in Queens waiting overnight for a cheap ticket on Freddie Laker Airlines - $135 from New York to London. We've slept on the concrete train platform in Victoria Station waiting for a train to Scotland. We've pitched tents on the Adirondack Trail. We've sat in the street in Belize and counted our pocket money to see where we could afford to sleep. And then there's always
Haiti. We often have mis-adventures but our philosophy has always been to turn them into Adventures! Tomorrow will mark our 29th wedding anniversary; three days later we will leave for a two week trip to Spain to celebrate our time together.
Spain - where the euro is falling rapidly, the economy is tanking and the banks are in trouble. What waits for us there?
Spain - where we don't know the language and even if we did, we're visiting one area with its own dialect (Galicia) and another area, the Basque region, with a totally unique world language unlike Spanish.
Spain - the north coast with tall ocean cliffs, deserted crescent beaches, vineyards, seafood and tapas bars.
We will be blogging on the road (or wherever we can find wifi) and posting photos to keep a record of this new Adventure! You're invited to follow us!
Have a wonderful adventure. We expect to see pictures!
